Please join the Wisconsin Maritime Museum on January 4th at 6:30pm for our first Think & Drink series presentation of 2024 “Historic Housewives of Manitowoc” with Manitowoc County Historical Society Director Amy Meyer. The featured drink of the night will be a Manitowoc Mule.

Cooking on an open fire, washing clothes by hand, keeping a diligent eye on the kids while also tending to some worn clothes in dire need of a patch job. This was common life for a woman back in pioneer times, and no woman was a stranger to this lifestyle. But our pioneer women also started libraries, classrooms, museums, and so much more. Discover the women movers and shakers in Manitowoc at the turn of the 20th century!

Alcohol and nonalcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at the limited bar.
