BRIX
Grab a table on the charming patio of this downtown Manitowoc restaurant that’s located in a historic building from the 1890s. BRIX features a large menu of gourmet burgers—including the Brix and Mortar, which is smothered with Brix bourbon cheese dip and haystack onions—as well as flatbreads, wraps, salads, and tasty appetizers.
The Wharf
Located just steps away from the S.S. Badger (a World War II submarine that’s docked outside the Wisconsin Maritime Museum), this waterfront bar and music venue offers lots of live music throughout the summer and fall, as well as a 4,000-square-foot open-air patio. The Wharf is open daily for lunch and dinner and offers a wide selection of signature cocktails.
Sabbatical Brewing Company
This brewery, located in central Manitowoc, is housed in a historic grain mill and serves up tasty taps Wednesdays through Thursdays. Sabbatical also regularly welcomes food trucks (though carry-in and delivery is also allowed) and hosts live music. Enjoy a drink, a bite, and some music on the brewery’s spacious, pet-friendly patio.
Sub Pub on the Water
Enjoy the views from atop the Wisconsin Maritime Museum at this rooftop bar, which is open from 5 to 10pm Thursdays (and other days for special events) from June through August. Enjoy Wisconsin-made beer, wine, and spirits, including beers from Manitowoc and Two Rivers brewers like Petskull, Sabbatical, Craft Creek, and Cool City. Enjoy the views of downtown Manitowoc and Lake Michigan—several downtown restaurants deliver to the Sub Pub.
