Trek the Trail

September 28, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

15,000 years ago, glacial ice sculpted a landscape of remarkable beauty across Wisconsin. As the glacier retreated, it left behind unique landscape features considered among the world’s finest examples of how continental glaciation sculpts our planet. The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is a 1,200-mile footpath that highlights these features through some of the state’s most beautiful natural areas.

Whether taking a day trip or planning a backpacking excursion, learn tips & tricks, and get maps and more information. Learn about the library’s Ice Age Trail Explorer backpack available for checkout. And learn about the Alliance’s Mammoth Hike Challenge coming in October.
