A non-juried one act festival. Producers submit an application to participate and six producers are drawn by random drawing. One hour slots (10 minute setup, 40 minute performance, 10 minute strike).

Chicken Salad

Chicken Salad depicts a difficult confrontation between a woman and her mother following the woman’s husband’s funeral. People grieve in different ways. The bonds that exists in families is more fragile than people think, possibly because the deep bonds between family makes them assume that other family members think the same way they do. At the same time, when a wound is incurred, it goes a lot deeper. And it makes forgiveness a lot harder in this one act drama for two women.

Glass Gizmos is a new work about Wes Gizmo, founder of “The Wes Gizmo
Company”, an influential animation studio, and the legacy he leaves behind. In 1955, Wes
makes moves to create new films, enlarge his company and even open a theme park. His work
is derailed, however, when in our time the COO of The Wes Gizmo company tries to alter his
public image, causing material changes for him in his own time.

​Frank, a math teacher distraught over the ignorance of his students, encounters and unloads on Joni, a substitute teacher, in the teachers’ lounge.  In conversation with Joni and other teachers, Frank discovers that his ignorance, in some ways, surpasses that of his students.
