Tiny Prints: Workshop with Mel Kolstad
Explore the fundamentals of drypoint printing on miniature plates. Use tiny presses from the Open Press Project to produce exquisite small-scale prints. Enhance prints with delicate watercolor touches and complete the artistic journey by framing a miniature masterpiece in a small frame.
$125 for workshop. Total cost is $275 if you wish to purchase a press. For adults 18+. No printing experience necessary.
The Open Press Project has created a small but fully functional 3D-printed etching press, designed to be lightweight, inexpensive and portable. The Open Press Project fits into the palm of your hand or even your backpack. Great for printing on the go.
There are 6 presses available for purchase to students taking the workshop. When registering, choose if you would like to leave the class with a new press so you can keep making tiny prints!
