Lincoln Park Zoo

Second Saturday Each Month: May – September

10 – 11am     Meet at Cafe Brauer Gate  All Ages

Join fellow nature lovers for a guided tour of Lincoln Park Zoo’s diverse plant life and ecosystems.  During each tour, a zoo horticulturist will point out interesting species in bloom, answer questions from guest, and discuss the horticulture program’s past, present, and future.

Things to get excited about:

-Spring flowering trees, like crabapple and redbuds

-Summer prairie flowers, like milkweed and rattlesnake master

-Hardy hibiscus and native hydrangea

-The fall colors of maple and gingko trees

-The faunal associations of pollinators, birds, and small mammals
