Manitowoc Maritime Bay Cycling Classic – Returning to ToAD after debuting with the series when it all began back in 2009, Manitowoc is yet another host community situated on the shores of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Manitowoc River and again giving rise to Wisconsin’s moniker America’s Fresh Coast! Mani, as many like to call it, is home to the Great Lakes last coal-fired passenger and car ferry, the SS Badger, making daily trips in the spring through Fall from Manitowoc to Ludington, MI and back! It is also home to Cedar Crest, ToAD’s favorite ice cream, Hennings Cheese and of course The Great Lakes Maritime Museum, which also serves as our start/finish line on this challenging course.
