Jake Hoot at The Capitol Civic Centre

June 27 @ 7:00 am - 10:00 pm

Jake Hoot, Champion of Season 17 of The Voice, is bringing his voice to the Capitol on June 27. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the concert starts at 7 p.m.

Hoot, self-described as Texas-born, Dominican Republic-raised, Tennessee living, country music playing, songwriting, God-fearing, family raising, people-loving, super blessed kind of guy, impressed audiences—and The Voice mentors alike—weekly on The Voice. An American country singer, he was mentored by Kelly Clarkson and wowed audiences by performing classics with his spin, as when he sang The Eagles’ hit, “Desperado.”

Since winning The Voice, Hoot has been touring, writing, recording, and releasing music. “Tennessee Strong,” reached the top 10 in the iTunes Country Singles chart, and “I Would’ve Loved You”—featuring Kelly Clarkson—which reached No. 3 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart. Other hits include “Best Job I Ever Had,” an ode to Hoot’s daughters, and the album Love Out Of Time, which reached No. 2 on both the iTunes All-Genre Albums and Country Albums charts. The music video for “I Would’ve Loved You” garnered critical acclaim and more than 8 million YouTube views.

Since winning The Voice in 2019, Hoot and his band have toured extensively and played often at The Grand Ole Opry. They’ve opened for legendary artists including Alabama, Darius Rucker, and Jordan Davis.

If you go: This performance is rated PG and tickets are $37, $27, and $17, plus fees and tax. A student discount is available.
