February 20, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Lester Public Library
Salt miner Schultze is forced into retirement and lapses into the boredom of his small German town. An accordion player, the retiree usually plays polkas, but when he hears zydeco on the radio he discovers a new inspiration and applies the fast tempo of zydeco to his playing. But the town’s polka scene frowns upon such deviation from tradition. Undaunted, Schultze packs his instrument and heads to zydeco’s birthplace: the American South. Rated PG. Runtime: 1:54.
