Founded in 1979 with original members Jeff Radke, Charlie Eckhardt, Rich Zoran, and Matt Bayens, Bacchus Lotus began locally as a high school band playing local shows.

They realized the only way to evolve as a band was to hit the road. Over the next 30+ years, they logged thousands of gigs — with festival appearances — in cities across the midwest. Time on the road in the early days proved crucial in shaping their sound.

The recent addition of Zephyr Ciesar as a female lead has helped take their sound to the next level. The band notes that they are “Four guys and a gal, playing Deep Cut Garage Rock”
