Did you know that Two Rivers is home to one of the nation’s oldest independent department stores? Schroeder’s Department Store has been family owned since 1891 and sells footwear and apparel for men and women, as well as formalwear and unique gifts like candles and specialty foods.
Bike ’N Fit in Manitowoc is located along the scenic Mariners Trail and offers bike rentals as well as sales and service for brands including Trek, Electra, and more.
The LondonDairy Alpaca Ranch in Two Rivers is not only home to adorable alpacas you can see during tours of the ranch, they’ve also got a gift store where you can find unique alpaca-based clothing, toys, and home décor. In addition, wine lovers can discover a wide selection of boutique South American wines.

Antiques, Arts & Collectibles
Martin Pottery Studio and Gallery is the only pottery studio in the Manitowoc-Two Rivers area, and it offers many unique pieces, including porcelain, stoneware, agateware, pottery made with sand from Lake Michigan, and much more.
A short drive northwest of Two Rivers will take art lovers to Mishicot’s RiverEdge Galleries, home to a wide collection of contemporary fine art and antiques. RiverEdge was established in 1984 and is located in a historic 1920s building in downtown Mishicot—don’t forget to visit the neighboring outdoor sculpture garden.
Food & Spirits
Visitors to downtown Manitowoc shouldn’t miss Beerntsen’s Confectionary, which has been in business for more than 90 years. Here, you’ll find chocolates, roasted nuts, homemade candies, ice cream, and other sweet treats (they also serve up soups, sandwiches, and coffee drinks).
The retail store at Pine River Dairy (a short drive west of downtown Manitowoc) sells more than 250 varieties of cheese, as well as gifts and souvenirs. Be sure to enjoy a 25-cent hand dipped ice cream cone during your visit, where you can watch the butter manufacturing process through the store’s observation window.
The Hearty Olive is a locally owned and operated store in Manitowoc that sells high-quality olive oils, specialty oils, balsamic vinegars, and local and regional specialty food products made in Wisconsin.
