Artifacts of the Manitowoc 28 Workshop

September 12 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Every artifact at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum has a story to tell. From the largest like USS Cobia, all the way down to the smallest, like the shards of glass from USS Guavina’s christening bottle, they tell us the stories of the people who interacted with these objects. For the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, the person in charge of taking care of those artifacts and preserving their stories is Archivist and Collections Manager Serena Stuettgen.

Join Serena on September 12, 2024 at 5:00pm for a behind the scenes viewing of artifacts not on display from the 28 submarines built here in Manitowoc. Participants will learn about the story behind these objects and discover what it is like to care for museum artifacts on a day to day basis.

Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Tickets are $35 for nonmembers, $30 for WMM Members. Tickets can be purchased at the Museum’s Front Desk, by calling 920-684-0218, or online at https://bit.ly/4ceuojJ
