Blacksmithing: Items for the Home
Students will have the opportunity to make at least 2 of the following decorative projects for the home: dinner triangle, candleholders, hooks, or fire pit poker. It is helpful if you have taken another one of our blacksmithing courses before. Small class size guarantees lots of one-on-one instruction and lots of time at the forge!
All costs of materials are included in the cost of the class. Dress for working in a shop and for the weather (shop is heated by a wood-burning stove only).
Please bring heavy work gloves, eye protection, and water bottle.
Suggested but not required: Take Blacksmithing Basics class first
Ages 16 and up
Fee: $65 per person, MCHS members get 15% off. Advanced registration required. Check in at the McAllister House Welcome Center by 11:45 a.m.
