Yarn Hand Dyeing

February 1 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Add a splash of color to your next fiber arts project with a unique, hand-dyed skein of yarn.

Participants will spend the morning transforming all-natural wool yarn into vibrant, one-of-a-kind skeins. Experts from Hidden Valley Farm & Woolen Mill will guide the class, first sharing how they care for their flock of sheep, collect the wool, and spin it in to yarn. Their team will also give insight on the different properties of wool and why they choose to raise purebred Coopworth sheep.

Each participant will then hand dye two skeins of yarn, ready to take home at the conclusion of the class.

Yarn provided for the class will be sourced directly from Hidden Valley’s flock of sheep, raised less than 10 miles from Farm Wisconsin.
