Union Soldier Remembers

May 14, 2016 @ 10:00 am - May 15, 2016 @ 4:00 pm

Although it has been over 150 years since our country has fought in the Civil War, the diaries, stories and lessons remain. During a Union Soldier Remembers, the pages of local Civil War veteran’s journals and letters will come to life as re-enactors portray these stories and traditions. Along the way, you’ll meet local residents, experience immersive presentations, and even participate in military drills. Pinecrest’s historic Meeme House Inn was the site of a Civil War Rally and this event will bring back to life this impressive and historic piece of our local history. Admission for adults is $10, and $7 for children ages 5-17. Under age 5 is free. MCHS members are admitted free.

Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15, 2016, from 10am-4pm at Pinecrest Historical Village, at 924 Pinecrest Rd., Manitowoc, WI 54220
