STEM Fest is a collaboration between the University of Wisconsin Green Bay’s Manitowoc Campus and the Manitowoc County Chamber of Commerce. It brings together roughly 600 county 4th/5th graders for an engaging and educational STEM-experience highlighted by Millipore Sigma’s Curiosity Cube and Exploration Station, UW-Green Bay’s College of Science Engineering and Technology, the Einstein Project and nearly 40 area employers who develop and staff their exhibitions.

The Chamber Manitowoc County in partnership with UW Green Bay – Manitowoc Campus, will be hosting STEM FEST on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the UW Green Bay – Manitowoc Campus, for 4th and/or 5th grade students from Manitowoc County.

What is STEM FEST?
This is an opportunity for businesses to highlight and share the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math that are essential to the work being done right here in Manitowoc County by sharing a STEM-related demo or hands-on activities for students. It will also help kids to see how what they learn in school is used in their own community. Businesses will have the opportunity to highlight STEM content related to their industry and/or STEM careers in their organizations.

If your business is interested but not sure where to go with your activity, we have teams from the Einstein Project and Millipore Sigma’s Curiosity Cube willing to help plan activities. Please let us know when registering online, and we can help connect you with individuals who have done events like this in other areas.

Why is this event important?
According to the Department of Labor, STEM-related careers are expected to increase by 10.8% by 2032! NOW is the time for you to showcase your company and your careers to our future workforce.
