Snapshot Day

August 17 @ 9:00 am - 1:30 pm

Free

Join us for a statewide, one-day event to connect volunteers, water lovers, and local groups in a search for aquatic invasive species (AIS).

Learn about aquatic invasive species with a short training, then get outside to monitor a site and collect samples.
Return to your Training Site to confirm your finds and celebrate.
All results are sent on to WI DNR and shared on the SWIMS database (Surface Water Integrated Monitoring System).

This is a free, family-friendly event. Recommended for ages 8 and up, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Hosted by River Alliance of Wisconsin, in partnership with Friends of the Manitowoc River Watership (FMRW), Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership, Inc. (LNRP) and many more!
