At 8:45, a wreath-laying ceremony is held at the Soldiers Monument. The parade begins at 9 a.m. It starts on Washington Street at 18th Street, proceeds north to 22nd Street, west to Forest Ave. and then north to Calvary Pioneers Rest Cemetery.
Following the program, the combined firing squads of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars pay tribute to veterans at Forest View/Holy Cross Cemetery.
