Hour of Code @ MPL
Computer programming is one of the most important skills to possess for the 21st century. Even if your teens don’t consider themselves math/science people, you may want to consider registering them for the Hour of Code at Manitowoc Public Library! Hour of Code is an introductory Computer Science course designed by code.org for teens between the ages of 13 and 18 to demystify coding and show them that anybody can learn the basics of developing apps, programming games, and solving computational problems. During the program—which takes place on Wednesday, August 16th between 4 PM and 5 PM—teens will have the opportunity to work with both offline and online activities to learn about the process of coding and develop their creative problem-solving skills. Registration for this program is required and can be done either in-person at MPL’s Children’s Desk or by calling 920-686-3030. Admission is FREE!!!
