Historical Society hosts Local Author for “On A Wisconsin Family Farm”

March 31 @ 5:30 pm

The Manitowoc County Historical Society has announced its first Hungry for History series program for 2022 with author Corey Geiger on Thursday, March 31 at 5:30 pm at the Lighthouse Inn, Two Rivers.  Join Geiger, an international agriculture journalist, as he adds insight to the origins of the book – On A Wisconsin Family Farm, Historic Tales of Character, Community and Culture – and shares stories from its pages. Guests can also pick up a signed copy of his book following the program.

Known to friends as the “Dancing Dairyman,” Geiger has danced his way onto Steve Harvey’s Family Feud television show, Texas Two-Stepped on the colored shavings at World Dairy Expo and competed at the Fred Astaire Cross Country Dance Competition. He remains true to his farming roots, managing the cropland and facility maintenance on his family’s Reedsville farm in Manitowoc County that dates back to 1867.

This program is part of the Society’s Hungry for History series with a meal following the program. Doors will open at 5 pm for the program. The presentation will begin at 5:30 pm with a meal to follow. If you have dietary restrictions, please note that when placing your reservation to attend the program.
