Badger Talk: Why Do Birds Sing?

Join guest lecturer Lauren Riters, professor of in the area of behavioral neuroscience in the Department of Integrative Biology at UW-Madison. Riters earned her PhD in psychology in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience Program at Bowling Green State University where she studied how birds migrate and how they return from long distances. She also completed post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Liege in Belgium and Johns Hopkins University where she studied how and why birds sing.

Badger Talks is a UW-Madison initiative to bring the university to communities to engage residents on topics they care about and share discoveries of UW faculty, staff and graduate students.

This Badger Talk event will take place at Woodland Dunes Nature Center and Preserve on June 9th from 1-2:30 pm.
