This year, Art Slam is joining forces with Sputnikfest on Saturday, September 11, 2021. The Lakeshore Artists Guild invites you to take the Art Slam Challenge. Open to all artists working in all media, you have two days to create an out-of this world masterpiece reflecting the theme “Space.” Start Saturday, September 11th and finish on Sunday, September 12th. (You may work in your studio or at the event.) Artwork needs to be submitted to the Rahr-West Art Museum on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 2pm-4pm. Save yourself five bucks and register before September 1st. You can also register at the Art Slam registration table, on Saturday, September 11th from 10am-noon. The table will be located in the Sputnikfest information tent at Park & 8th Streets, Manitowoc.

Artwork will be on display at the Rahr-West from September 17- October 17, 2021. There will be an opening reception at the Rahr-West Art Museum from 6pm-8pm on Friday, September 17, 2021.

If you prefer live portraiture, you can participate in Spittin’ Image on Saturday, September 11th from noon-6pm. Our model will be a former Miss Space Debris contestant.
