Arboretum Walk & Lunch in Two Rivers
Let’s spend a few hours in Two Rivers while we enjoy spring flowers. Our first stop will be to check out a new addition to Manitowoc County-the Van der Brohe Arboretum. (no entry fee)There is a 1 mile loop at the arboretum with several secondary trails.
After our walk, we can eat lunch at the Two Rivers Family Restaurant, if desired.
The Van der Brohe Arboretum (VDBA) is engaged in the conversion of a former 65-acre golf course into an ecological center focused on providing an environment for the cultivation and display of the variety of tree types and species which will be suitable for the location in Two Rivers, WI. The trees will be displayed in meadows, and in migratory bird food plots, providing a rich diversity of value to the avian communities. (taken from their website)
We can also walk out to the North Pierhead Light Tower before we leave, if anyone is interested. The pier is just a few blocks away from the fishing village.
